Department of Supply Chain Management
The Department of Supply Chain Management provides an opportunity for students to acquire knowledge and training for careers in the supply chain industry. Supply chain management includes all the activities that must take place to get the right product into the right consumer’s hands in the right quantity and at the right time. Supply chain management involves teamwork between firms to connect suppliers, customers, and other partners as a means of boosting productivity and producing value for the end consumer.
This course will help you succeed as a supply chain management professional. You will play a major role in creating forecasts, developing schedules, ordering and managing inventory, controlling production orders, and maximizing customer satisfaction.
Domestic Requirements
The general requirements for admission of WASSCE, SSSCE and GBCE candidates to first-degree programmes are three (3) credit passes in three core subjects and three (3) credit passes in three relevant elective subjects.
i. SSSCE Candidates: Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
ii. WASSCE Candidates: Credit Passes (Al-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
iii. GBCE Candidates: Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus three (3) relevant elective subjects
i. SSSCE Candidates: Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
ii. WASSCE Candidates: Credit Passes (Al-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
iii. GBCE Candidates: Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus three (3) relevant elective subjects
International Requirements
All foreign qualifications should be referred to the National Accreditation Board (NAB) for determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission to tertiary institutions in Ghana National Accreditation Board Act, 2007 [Act 744 (2(2)]
It should be noted that the American SAT, TOEFL etc, cannot in themselves be acceptable as entry qualifications into Ghanaian tertiary educational institutions.
Pursuant to the approved minimum entry requirements
Please note the slight amendments to the admission requirements of the various Diploma-awarding institutions
All public and private accredited tertiary education institutions are required in their advertisement for application for admission to indicate the approved minimum admission requirements to guide prospective applicants
When in doubt, prospective applicants are advised to check from the National Accreditation Board whether the institution they intend to apply to and the programme they intend to pursue are duly accredited
Any person, who disregards the admission policy and the advice herein, does so at their own risk.
Note:The public, especially, institutions, parents and students are hereby advised to take note and adhere to the above stated requirements. Non-compliance will lead to the withdrawal of unqualified students.
