Programme Overview
This program is designed to provide practical and theoretical knowledge for students to work as pharmacy technicians in healthcare. Topics covered include pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, drug formulation, and quality assurance. Graduates may find work in hospitals, pharmacies, and other healthcare facilities.
Domestic Requirements
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
WASSCE APPLICANTS
WASSCE applicants will require passes not below C6 in three core subjects (i.e English, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science) PLUS passes not below C6 in three elective subjects. The total aggregate should not exceed 36.
SSSCE APPLICANTS
SSSCE applicants will require passes in three core subjects (i.e English, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science) PLUS passes not below C in three elective subjects. The total aggregate should not exceed 24.
CERTIFICATE II APPLICANTS
Certificate II applicants will require passes not below D in three core subjects (i.e English, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science) PLUS passes not below credit in three relevant trade components.
MATURED APPLICANTS
Applicant must be at least 25 years at the time of application. Evidence of birth date is required.
Must have five(5) credits at the GCE ‘O’ LEVEL, including English Language, Core Mathematics.
Must provide documentation evidence of relevant work experience.
Must pass a Departmental examination and or an interview.
