Programme Overview
The Master of Arts (MA) in African Christianity program is a graduate-level program that focuses on the study of Christianity in the African context. The program is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the history, theology, and practices of Christianity in Africa, as well as develop their skills in theological research, critical thinking, and communication.
The MA African Christianity program covers a wide range of topics, including African church history, African theologies, contextualization of the gospel, African traditional religions, African Pentecostalism, and Christianity and social issues in Africa. Students will also have the opportunity to engage in discussions about contemporary issues affecting the African church and society.
The program is intended for individuals who desire to pursue a career in ministry, academia, research, or other related fields. Graduates of the MA African Christianity program may also pursue further studies in theology, divinity, or other related disciplines at the doctoral level.
