Programme Overview
The MTech Interior design and Technology programme explores the intersection of design, technology, and human experience in interior spaces. This programme delves into the application of advanced technologies, such as building information modeling (BIM), computational design, and sustainable building practices, to create innovative and functional interior environments. Students learn to integrate technical skills, design principles, and research methods to develop creative solutions that enhance user experience, productivity, and well-being, preparing them for leadership roles in interior design, architecture, and related fields, where technology and design converge
Domestic Requirements
A good first degree, preferably second class lower or better (or a Final Grade Point Average of at least 2.0), in a relevant field of study at the Accra Technical University or any recognized/accredited University.
b) Graduate who has completed any of the following: BTECH/ BSc/BA/ or Top-up programme in Interior Design Technology, Building Technology, Textile Technology Fashion Technology Textile Processing and Fine Art programmes with the minimum of second class lower. Candidates who do not meet this minimum level requirement but have industry experience would be required to pass an interview.
c) Candidates appearing for their final graduation-level examination are also eligible to apply for the course on a provisional basis.
e)HND Graduates can be considered after one year bridging course and pass an interview.
f) International applicants: International applicants may be admitted on the basis of qualifications from their home countries for which equivalence shall be determined by the National Accreditation Board of Ghana and submitted to the university. Evidence of proficiency in English Language will be required in the case of candidates from non-English speaking countries.
