Programme Overview
Welcome to the Master of Philosophy in Finance programme offered by the School of Graduate Studies at the University of Professional Studies, Accra. We hope your academic experience in this programme will be exciting and enriching.
The MPhil in Finance is a two-year rigorous programme designed to provide students with the required skills and knowledge to conduct independent research in finance. This programme not only emphasises independent research work but also prepares you for real-world challenges, as students spend the entire second year writing an MPhil thesis under supervision.
Domestic Requirements
General Entry Requirements
Applicants who possess any of the following can apply:
• A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university/institution in relevant discipline with;
a) a second class lower or better
b) a third class, however such applicants will be required to go through screening and selection interview to ascertain their suitability for admission
• Relevant recognized full professional qualification such as ICAG, ACCA, CIMA, CIM, CPA, ICSA and CIB.
• International applicants with a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in related fields recognized by Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC). Evidence of proficiency in English Language will be required in the case of applicants from non-English speaking countries.
