A. WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS Entry Requirements Core Subjects: Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science. Elective Subjects: Credit passes in THREE (3) General Arts subjects, including Christian Religious Studies (CRS) or Islamic Religious Studies (IRS). B. ‘A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS Entry Requirements • ‘O’ Level: Credit passes in FIVE (5) subjects including English Language and Mathematics. • ‘A’ Level or equivalent: Credit passes in THREE (3) subjects from Christian Religious Studies, History, Literature in English, French, Economics, Government, and Geography. vi. Visual Arts: General Knowledge in Art, Literature in English, Graphic Design, Picture Making, Sculpture, Ceramics, Batik, Tie and Dye B. ‘A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS Entry Requirements • ‘O’ Level: Credit passes in FIVE (5) subjects including English Language and Mathematics. • ‘‘A’ Level or equivalent: Credit passes in THREE (3) subjects including Economics, Mathematics and any ONE from Geography, French, Literature in English, Business Management, History, Government etc. Applicants must also have a pass in General Paper. C. MATURE APPLICANTS Entry Requirements • An applicant must be at least 25 years at the time of the application. • An applicant must also satisfy the requirements for WASSCE/SSSCE OR ‘A’ Level.

They are bright, articulate students who will go home and be instrumental in the growth and development of their countries. As a result, we have a serious responsibility to teach them superior values and technological skills. Students from all over the World come together here and the Professors really use the diversity to open up class discussions. An education at KNUST is about much more than completing a major and getting a degree. Our students and our faculty come from around the world to be a part of the KNUST experience - an experience where learning from one another is as important a part of their education as the curriculum. The percentage of foreign students in the university could get as high as 10% and fees are charged depending on the course being offered. There is an International students association which sees to the interest of Foreign students in the University such as accommodation and taking first years round campus.
