Programme Overview
Domestic Requirements
The following are eligible to apply for admission as candidates for the Master of Philosophy programme in Social Studies Education:
A good Bachelor’s degree (Second Class Lower or better) in Social Studies.
A good Bachelor’s degree or combined (Second Class Lower or better) Social Studies with Geography, Economics, History and Political Science from the University of Education, Winneba or a recognised university.
A person who holds a relevant professional qualification approved by the Academic Board.
Notwithstanding regulations (i), (ii) and (iii) above, a candidate may be required as a condition for admission to undergo such tests as may be prescribed by the Department with his proposed work or take such other pre-requisite or concurrent studies and examinations as may be prescribed, subject to overall control of the Board.
All applicants must attend and pass a competitive selection to be considered for admission
