Domestic Requirements
Possess M.Phil. or Research Master’s Degree in ONLY Social Studies.
Submit a research proposal on a topic he/she intends to study and are relevant to the following areas in Social Studies: Procreation, Socialism, Sense of purpose, maintenance of Law and Order, Production and Distribution, Curriculum, Pedagogy/ Andragogy/ Heutagogy and Educational Assessment.
Find at least two (2) Supervisors who have agreed to supervise his/her thesis and are privy to your research proposal.
In addition, the applicant’s working experience in teaching, research, publication and community service will be an added advantage.
NOTE:
Admission will thus, strictly be based on the suitability of the research proposal to the area outlined under (i) and the availability of supervisors in the research area to supervise the applicant.
The programme is meant to last for a minimum of three (3) years (FOR FULL-TIME CANDIDATES) and five (5) years (FOR PART-TIME CANDIDATE).
