Programme Overview
The Diploma in Accounting at GCTU is to provide foundational knowledge and practical skills in recording, analyzing, and reporting financial information, preparing graduates for entry-level roles like bookkeeping, accounting clerk, or payroll administrator, and equipping them with analytical abilities and ethical understanding for careers in finance, business, or further study.
Domestic Requirements
• WASSCE Applicants: Credit passes (A1–C6) in three (3) core subjects including English, Mathematics, and Integrated Science/Social Studies, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
• SSSCE/GBCE Applicants: Grades A–D in three (3) core subjects including English, Mathematics, and Integrated Science/Social Studies, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
• Mature Entry: Must be at least 25 years old and pass a mature entrance examination.
• SSSCE/GBCE Applicants: Grades A–D in three (3) core subjects including English, Mathematics, and Integrated Science/Social Studies, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.

International Requirements
All foreign qualifications in relevant fields will be evaluated by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) to determine equivalence and eligibility.
