WASSCE Holders
• Applicants must have credit passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects, comprising three (3) core subjects,
including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science as well as
• At least, credit passes (A1-C6) in any three (3) electives. A C6 or better in Clothing and Textile is an
Advantage

3.1.4.2 SSSCE Holders
• Applicants must have credit passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects, comprising three (3) core subjects
including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science, plus
• At least, credit passes (A-D) in any three elective subjects. A grade D or better in Clothing and Textile
is an Advantage
Note: A pass of Grade C6 in WASSCE or Grade D in SSSCE or better in Clothing and Textile is an advantage
3.1.4.3 ABCE/GBCE Holders
• Full Diploma Certificate in ABCE
• Also, the applicant must have had credit passes in five (5) subjects including English Language,
Mathematics, Integrated Science OR Social Studies in the GBCE or SSSCE or WASSCE.
3.1.4.4 General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level Candidates
• Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better) Credit passes (Grade 6) in five (5) GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English Language,
Mathematics, and
• A Science subject (for non-science students), and
• An Arts subject (for Science students)
3.1.4.5 Higher National Diploma (HND)/Diploma Holders
• Good HND certificate (i.e. at least, 2nd Class Lower Division)
• Other Diploma qualifications equivalent to HND
• A successful applicant may be placed at Level 200
3.1.4.6 Mature Applicants
• Candidates must be at least 25 years by September 1 of the academic year s/he wants to enroll.
• Candidates must show proof of age with birth certificate OR
• Any legitimate documentary proof of date of birth which is, at least, five (5) years old at the time of
application.
• Must pass the following examinations:
- A General Aptitude Test and
- A Subject Area Test
both administered by the University.

Foreign applicants from accredited institutions with equivalent qualifications will be considered for
admission
