Entry Requirements The minimum academic qualification needed to be eligible to enter this programme is at least a second class in a bachelor’s degree in nursing or midwifery from an accredited institution. Admitted student must be a Registered Nurse/Midwife registered to the Nursing and Midwifery Council of respective country. The candidate should have a minimum of one year’s experience after the BA/BSc midwifery degree. One year national service or internship after the first degree will be considered as experience. Candidate shall be medically fit. All applicants for the MPhil programme must pass a selection interview with a pass mark of at least 50%. Conduct independent research and apply the research findings in nursing education, leadership and administration. Collaborate with members of other disciplines to solicit research grants to conduct implementation research that would improve the society as a whole. Utilize educational technologies in nursing education for effective teaching and learning of nursing. Demonstrate leadership qualities and decision making abilities at all facets of the health sector.
