Domestic Requirements
Applicants with a Master’s Degree (MSc/MPhil) in any one of the following
are eligible to apply:
Food Quality or Food Safety Management;
Food Science and Technology or its equivalent;
Chemistry or its equivalent;
Food Microbiology or its equivalent;
Biology or its equivalent;
Biochemistry or its equivalent;
Environmental Science or its equivalent;
The admission shall be based on:
Application with relevant qualifications and research proposal;
Performance at interview;
Acceptance of prerequisite courses where the Board has made
recommendations.Transfer from Master of Philosophy (MPhil) to Doctor of Philosophy
Programmes is also possible and it is based on the guidelines of the graduate
school.
NB: International students from countries where English is not the official
language will require proof of English proficiency. (Minimum of one-year).
