Category A West Africa Examination Certificate Holders (WASSCE/NECO): For applicants applying with wassce or neco certificates, you must have six (6) passes (A1 to C6), passes in three (3) core subjects including core mathematics and english language and passes in any three relevant elective courses. SSCE Entry: For applicants applying with the old WAEC certificate (i.e. SSCE) are required to have six (6) passes (A1 to D7), three (3) core subjects including mathematics and english language and passes in any three relevant elective courses. GCE Advanced Level: Applicants with General Certificate of Education must have three (3) passes (1 to 7) and five credits in GCE Ordinary level subjects including mathematics and english language. Category B ABCE Entry: For applicants with Advanced Business Certificate Examination, they must have three passes (A to D) and credit passes in five (5) subjects in General Business Examination (GBCE). Higher National Diploma (HND): Applicants applying for any of DUC's HND programmes must have six (6) passes (A1 to D7), passes in three (3) core subjects including core mathematics and english language and passes in any three relevant elective courses. Mature Entry: Applicants who do not have any certificate or do not have good passes and 25 years and above are eligible for our mature entry pathway. Applicants must show proof of age with a valid birth certificate, provide an introductory letter from employer if employed and applicant must pass the mature students entrance examinations conducted by the University. The examination covers English language, Mathematics and an Aptitude test.

Category C Foreign Certificates: All foreign certificates must be evaluated by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) before being considered for admission. International Students: All international students who do not have English as your first language are to submit proof of English Proficiency. Top-Ups : We accepts applicant applying to upgrade or top-up to degree with a qualification lower than degree. A holder of Diploma may top-up to degree in the same discipline or otherwise and such applicant will be placed at level 200. Holders of Higher National Diploma may top-up to degree in the same discipline or subject area and be placed at level 300. Where the top-up is to be in a subject area different from the HND certificate held, the applicant will be placed at level 200
