Programme Overview
The Programme seeks to attract holders of all secondary and post-secondary education certificates (see details below) who meet the admission requirements. Enrolment will be opened to both local and foreign nationals. Job Prospect There are a number of employment opportunities from the public and private sector institutions, Areas in which graduates of the Programme are likely to be employed include: Individuals with Bachelor Degrees in Sustainable Development can pursue a wide variety of careers, including: i. Government (e.g. state departments and agencies including the Ghana Statistical Service, National Development Planning Commission, National Spatial Authority) ii. Academia (e.g.universities, polytechnics) International Organisations such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), African Development Bank (AfDB), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and United Nations Conference for Trade and Development (UNCTAD) among others Research Institutions (e.g. ISSER, CEPA, NBER, etc) Ministries Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry of Food and Agriculture Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources Ministry of Health Ministry of Finance Ministry of Works and Housing Ministry of Local Government Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies Industries Development Authorities Environmental Consultancies Waste Management Companies and Service Providers CSO’s Policy and Advocacy Firms NGOs CBOs
Domestic Requirements
Admission requirements are as follows:

i. SSSCE

Credit passes (A-D) in core English, core Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies and any three elective subjects which should include at least one of the following: Economics; Geography; Mathematics; ICT, Government, Elective Mathematics, General Agriculture, Accounting, Business Management, General Knowledge in Art with aggregate score of 24 or better.

ii. WASSCE Applicants

At least a credit (A1-C6) in core English, core Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies and any three elective subjects which should include at least one of the following: Economics; Geography; Mathematics; ICT, Government, Elective Mathematics, General Agriculture Accounting, Business Management, General Knowledge in Art, with an aggregate score of 36 or better.

iii. A LEVEL Certificate Applicants

Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Besides, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects (or its equivalent) including English Language, Mathematics and a science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject (for science students). A pass in General Paper must also be obtained.

General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) Holders

Applicants must obtain passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language, Core Mathematics plus any three elective subjects would be eligible for admission into level 100.

Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) Holders

Applicants with full Diploma in ABCE must have credit passes in five (5) subjects including; English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies in the General Business Certificate Examination, SSSCE or WASSCE. Applicants may be considered for admission at Level 200 of a degree programme.

HND/Diploma Applicants

HND Second Class (Upper and Lower Division) holders with relevant background may be admitted in Third Year of the Programme after passing an interview, while HND First Class may be considered for admission without an interview. Two year Diploma (Second Class) holders may be admitted into second year while three years Diploma with distinction may be admitted into third year of the Programme without interview.

Mature Applicants

Mature Applicants must have attained the age of 25years or above with passes in SSSCE/WASSCE/O’Level Mathematics and English and/or relevant working experience, and must also pass a written examination and interview conducted by the School.

Foreign Students

Foreign students may be admitted on the basis of qualification from their home country for which the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) shall determine equivalence. Evidence of proficiency in English Language will be required in the case of applicants from non-English speaking countries.

The applicant must have qualifications equivalent to WASSCE, SSSCE or
GCE ‟A‟ Level to be considered for admission or any other nationally recognized standard High School level examinations (for qualifications from countries outside WAEC‟s aegis).

All foreign qualifications are to be referred to the (GTEC) for determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission. Applicants should have their results translated into English. Applicants should be able to read and write in English.
Applicants may also be required to pass an entrance examination and an interview.
International Requirements
Admission requirements are as follows:

i. SSSCE

Credit passes (A-D) in core English, core Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies and any three elective subjects which should include at least one of the following: Economics; Geography; Mathematics; ICT, Government, Elective Mathematics, General Agriculture, Accounting, Business Management, General Knowledge in Art with aggregate score of 24 or better.

ii. WASSCE Applicants

At least a credit (A1-C6) in core English, core Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies and any three elective subjects which should include at least one of the following: Economics; Geography; Mathematics; ICT, Government, Elective Mathematics, General Agriculture Accounting, Business Management, General Knowledge in Art, with an aggregate score of 36 or better.

iii. A LEVEL Certificate Applicants

Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Besides, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects (or its equivalent) including English Language, Mathematics and a science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject (for science students). A pass in General Paper must also be obtained.

General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) Holders
