The candidate should be a Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, and/or a Registered Public/ Community Health Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana. In the case of foreign applicants, they should be registered with their respective countries.
The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of a regular degree course in Nursing – (BSc. (Hons) and BA (Hons) in Nursing or Midwifery or Public/ Community Health Nursing with a minimum of a Third Class or 55% aggregate marks, in an institution that is recognized by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana (NMC, Ghana) and the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).
The candidate should have a minimum of one year experience after BSc/BA. Nursing or Midwifery or Public/ Community Health Nursing. One-year national service/internship after successful completion of four-year BSc/BA. Nursing/Midwifery can be considered as experience.
The candidate should have a minimum of one year experience prior or after regular Basic BSc./BA Nursing, Midwifery or Public/ Community Health Nursing.
The candidate should be medically fit.
All applicants for the MSc program must pass a selection interview with a minimum of 55% marks
