Programme Overview
A Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an earned research degree that involves an extended period of intensive, independent research, resulting in a significant contribution of original knowledge in the form of a dissertation, and defense of the work before a panel of experts in the field. The Ph.D. programme prepares graduates in theology to develop servant leadership by imparting advanced knowledge and values for global Christian service to God and humanity.
Domestic Requirements
A Master’s degree in Theology/Religions/related fields with a grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.00 scale or equivalent.
A registered Ph.D. Candidate of another University may be allowed to transfer credits earned and may get a waiver of the course work, if the content of the coursework component of a doctoral degree is comparable with the approval of the Graduate Studies Committee.
Admission shall be subject to the selection procedures of the university including an interview.
Ph. D registered candidates, may apply to undertake M.Phil. thesis research, if not able to progress subject to the satisfactory completion of course work and with the approval of the Graduate Studies Committee of the University.
