Critically evaluate, develop and oversee maternity services and Healthcare in their communities by ensuring humanising, safe experience for mothers and their families Teach in a variety of capacities, including undergraduate and basic midwifery programmes Conduct both independent and collaborative research that will support innovations contributing to the development of midwifery practice Provide national and international midwifery care to promote women’s health and contribute to reduction in maternal and infant mortality and morbidity Work collaboratively with professionals from a variety of disciplines to promote midwifery practice/maternal and child health Identify and implement changes in complex health care delivery systems that enhance the quality and cost-effectiveness of clients’ care.
Domestic Requirements
A first degree (minimum Second-Class Lower Division) in any of the following fields: Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing/Midwifery, Public Health, Environmental Health Pharmacy, Physician Assistantship, Dental Technology/Therapy, Medical Laboratory Science Social Sciences, Development, Education, or related fields from a recognized university.
A minimum of two years’ work experience in a relevant sector.
Successful completion of an admission interview.
International Requirements
