Programme Overview
The proposal to introduce Master of Philosophy in English Education programme at the Christian Service University is particularly in response to the demands of government policy that teachers attain a higher degree to teach at some levels. The programme therefore expands access to qualified applicants to pursue higher degree programme, in English Education, to teach English language and literature at the second cycle and tertiary institutions. Thus, the programme will help fulfil the National Council for Tertiary Education requirement for teaching at the Colleges of Education and other tertiary institutions, as proposed in the scheme of service for staff of tertiary education in Ghana.
Domestic Requirements
i. Applicants are expected to possess a minimum of 2nd Class (Lower Division) Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) with a major in English language and literature.
ii. M.Ed. degree holders in Arts may apply.
iii. M.A. /M.Phil. Degree holders in Arts with education background may also apply.
International Requirements
